The North Central Homesteaders Convention couldn’t happen without our volunteers! Help us to make the 2024 convention a success and sign up to become a volunteer!

Convention Details

The 2024 North Central Homesteaders Convention will be held on October 4th & 5th, 2024 in Macon, Missouri at the Macon County Fairgrounds in the Floral Hall Building.

Volunteers working at the convention will take one morning or afternoon shift, either on Friday, or Saturday (Which can be up to 5 hours. Unless you’d like to help out more!)

Volunteers will also be needed for either set up on Friday morning or take down on Saturday night.

To show our appreciation, all volunteers will receive FREE admission to the convention (all weekend long!), and a free North Central Homesteaders Convention t-shirt!!

When you’re not on duty during your shift, you’ll get to mingle with people, learn from the awesome educators, and explore the best homestead & farming wares with the vendors!

  • One application per volunteer.
  • Must be 18 years old to apply unless you are attending with a group like FFA or 4H.
  • If you have children attending with you, they must stay with a guardian during your shift.
  • You must be able to stand or walk for up to 5 hours to volunteer. Other physical capabilities may be required depending on the position chosen. If you have limitations, please email to clarify the requirements for the position you’re requesting. We will do our best to accommodate our volunteers. 
  • If you do not show up for your scheduled shift(s) after collecting your admittance wristband you will be invoiced for the cost of a weekend pass ticket for your attendance of the event, you will also be placed on a list to where you can NOT volunteer for future events.
  • If you're concerned that you won't be selected as a volunteer but want to make sure you can attend the convention, we recommend that you purchase a ticket in advance. Please note that we will not be able to refund ticket sales.
